Legal Volunteer Program Terms and Conditions

Please read the Legal Volunteer Program Terms and Conditions carefully before submitting your online payment, which confirms your registration. By submitting your full name in the box under the words 'I have read and agree to the Legal Volunteer Program Terms and Conditions' in your online reservation form, you agree to the following:

Basic Requirements

The Volunteer must be 18 years old or older at the time of reservation for the volunteer trip. The Volunteer also must be eligible for the trip he or she applies for, per additional guidelines set forth on the Volunteer Global LLC website.

Pilot Programs

The Volunteer understands that if they register for a "pilot program" they will be among the first ten volunteers to participate in this project and possibly with this partner.

The Volunteer understands this program and possibly partner are still in the probationary trial period and that unexpected circumstances including, but not limited to, miscommunications or changes in general program schedule, project details, etc. are more likely to happen and may be expected.

As one of the first ten participants the Volunteer may be asked upon their return to schedule an optional Skype interview with our Returned Volunteer Team and/or additional questions regarding their experience to provide feedback and suggestions to assist with our continuing assessment of this partner and project.

Travel

Volunteer Global LLC does not arrange or pay for any individual or group Volunteers’ travel to and from the host project country and/or specific location. The Volunteer is solely responsible for his or her transportation expenses as well as any fees incurred for supporting documentation or other travel related expenses (e.g., passport, visa, travel health insurance, etc.).

Daily transportation costs are the responsibility of the Volunteer, though Volunteer Global LLC and the host country organization with whom you will volunteer will try to the best of our ability to provide a cost estimate prior to the start of your trip.

Insurance

The Volunteer is solely responsible for the purchase of his or her travel and health insurance. We cannot provide advice on the type or levels of coverage. It is REQUIRED that the Volunteer purchase health and travel insurance to cover the entire duration of his or her trip.

Cancellation And Refund Policy

Cancellations must be made in writing. Reservation Fees are nonrefundable.

A Volunteer who cancels 30 days prior to the start of his or her trip is entitled to a full refund, minus the Reservation Fee.

A Volunteer who cancels eight or more days prior to his or her trip is entitled to a partial refund, minus the project Reservation Fee (varies by project) and a percentage of the Program Fee (varies by project).

Due to our minimal profit margin, we cannot provide a full or partial refund to a Volunteer who cancels seven days or fewer prior to his or her trip.

The outlined cancellation and refund guidelines in the Legal Volunteer Program Terms And Conditions apply even if a Volunteer chooses to remit full payment for the trip all at once, but must cancel.

Reservation Fees

Reservation Fees vary by program, and are posted to the Volunteer Global LLC website. Reservation Fees are subject to change without notice.

A Volunteer is required to pay a reservation fee to ensure his or her spot on a service trip. This Fee is nonrefundable. This Fee is due at least 45 days prior to the start of the Volunteer’s trip.

Program Fees

Program Fees vary by project, and are posted on the Volunteer Global LLC website. Program Fees are subject to change without notice. This Fee is due at least 45 days prior to the start of the Volunteer’s trip.

A Volunteer who does not pay the Program Fee at least 45 days prior to his or her arrival on the project site will not be registered for that trip and will not receive a refund of his or her Reservation Fee.

The Reservation Fee is included in the final Program Fee. For example, if a Volunteer pays a $69.00 reservation fee for a $169.00 project, then the outstanding amount due for that project is $100.00, at least 45 days before arrival to the project. A Volunteer who does not pay the Program Fee at least 45 days prior to his or her arrival on the project site will not be registered for that trip and will not receive a refund of his or her Reservation Fee.

A Volunteer who cancels eight or more days prior to his or her trip is entitled to a partial refund, minus the Reservation Fee (varies by project) and a percentage of the Program Fee (varies by project). Due to our minimal profit margin, we cannot provide a full or partial refund to a Volunteer who cancels seven days or fewer prior to the start of his or her trip.

Additional host country organization fees may apply once the Volunteer has begun travel. This may include, but is not limited to, in-country transportation, meals, and other costs. Volunteer Global LLC is not responsible for additional fees incurred while the Volunteer is on travel. Additional fees requested by the host country organization are to be paid directly to that organization, with no involvement of or liability to Volunteer Global LLC.
