So, you're applying to the Peace Corps?  First of all, congratulations!  You are making potentially the biggest, scariest, and BEST choice you will ever make.  The application is long, but consider it practice. You're signing up for years of challenge and exhilerating change. 27 Months: Let's Do the Numbers

Today (well, technically yesterday) I finally did it. I left for Peace Corps.  It's a day that's been over a year and a half in coming, and I was so.freakin'.ready to just finally get on that plane.

In less than three weeks, I will be departing for a great and unknown, yet well-trodden adventure in the U.S. Peace Corps.  My country of service: Zambia.  My packing list: nearly complete.  My emotional preparation level: zero.
