Manna Project International (MPI) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that utilizes the passions and energy of young people to empower developing international communities through hands-on learning and service. Our model is a collaborative community-based approach to development.

Our Program Director position is an opportunity for young professionals and recent graduates to spend seven to thirteen months living and working at one of our international sites in Guatemala, Ecuador, or Nicaragua.  Program Directors manage all of our on-site development initiatives.

Summer Interns visit our sites for either four- or eight-week terms and assist our PDs in running programs.

In Guatemala, MPI works near Lake Atitlán in the small Maya community of Chaquijyá.

In Ecuador, MPI operates in the semi-rural Chillos Valley, which is located southeast of Quito, Ecuador’s capital. In Nicaragua, MPI works on the southwest outskirts of Managua.

MPI also has programs in La Chureca, the community within Managua’s municipal dump.

Our volunteers live together on-site in secure and spacious houses.  Depending on the housing arrangements, volunteers may be required to share a room, but will only be required to room with volunteers of the same gender.

Our thirteen month Program Director term runs from July, 2013 to August, 2014.

Our Summer Interns can choose a four or eight week session beginning in May and spanning through the beginning of July.
