Karen Chin holds a Master of Science in Public Health from Tulane University in Tropical Medicine and served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ghana, West Africa from 2006 to 2008.
She is the Funding and Volunteer Support Coordinator for Volunteer Global. As Funding and Volunteer Support Coordinator, she is responsible for finding funds to help support various aspects of Volunteer Global and to assist prospective and current volunteers in their questions and volunteer placement. She also works as an Epidemiologist for the American Indian tribes in Montana and Wyoming. Her area of focus is in infectious disease and emergency preparedness.
As someone who has traveled to many places in the world and had the honor of volunteering in Africa, she is very excited to support future volunteers in their quest to perform humanitarian assistance while immersing themselves in a culture very different from their own. Karen currently lives in Montana and enjoys hiking through the state’s natural beauty and horseback riding.
