Volunteer for humane animal education in Caye Caulker, Belize!

Through this project, you'll teach local children about humane cat and animal care. You can visit schools to work with classes and groups of students, or you can host summer camp events or weekend projects to demonstrate proper animal treatment and care, discuss the rights of animals and their value, and how to assist in the prevention of abuse. Other classes, such as guitar teaching, also are encouraged.

You're encouraged to develop your own teaching agenda, and are asked bring materials to help supplement your projects, as each volunteer project will be different from the last.

Experience with teaching, children and youth development, and other related subjects is welcome, but not required

As this program is not an ongoing one at the sanctuary, volunteers are considered on a case-by-case basis; you will work with the sanctuary director to determine your schedule and type of project, which will be largely self guided. Please allow several weeks between your inquiry and prospective start date to help schedule your visit and type of project.

You'll volunteer with P.A.W. Cat Sanctuary and Humane Society, a local group that provides spaying and neutering services and promotes humane education in Belize.
