Who can make an account?

Volunteer organizations that either accept international and national volunteers directly, or organizations that place volunteers with host country partner groups that they work with directly (e.g., performing regular site visits and/or having permanent staff onsite) are welcome to create accounts.

Unfortunately we cannot include directory style organizations (i.e., those operating in the same style as Volunteer Global). While we greatly support the work you do--because we're a directory ourselves!--it's just not quite what we're going for as far as listings go.

How do I create an account?

Volunteer Global offers two Travel Buddy accounts--Lite and Pro.

Your account will be confirmed automatically, and you’ll be able to start adding content just as soon as you complete payment.

What’s the difference between Lite and Pro accounts?

A Lite account allows you to create a single profile page outlining your volunteer organization, with information on where volunteers work, what they do, how to sign up, and more, for $9.99 per year. You also can create press releases to highlight your work, and receive 10% off banner advertising.

Pro accounts are available for $29.99 per year, and include a profile page in addition to unlimited content in the form of highlighted project pages, stories, and press releases. You'll also receive a 30% discount on advertising.

All Travel Buddies receive front-page and social network promotion.

Is the paid program a one-time fee?

No, Travel Buddy accounts are renewed annually at a rate of $9.99 or $29.99 per refresh. You will receive an automated email notification and refresh option six weeks before your account is set to expire.

May I create an account now, but pay you later?

Unfortunately, no—but you're welcome to sign up at any time that's convenient for you.

How do I update my Organization Profile page?

Upon your first login to Volunteer Global, select “My Account Info.” You will be taken to your account settings, which allow you to edit your profile, listed as "My Profile" as well as other pages you’ve created. Any time thereafter when you login, you'll be redirected to your profile page.

I created an account but can't find my page! / My page is empty!

You'll need to add content to your Profile before it will show up anywhere on Volunteer Global. When you login, you will be taken directly to your profile page; just hit "edit" and fill in the fields. Once you save, the site will automatically populate with links to your profile page.

How do I create new pages?

Login to Volunteer Global, and then select “Add or Edit a Page.” This allows you to create stories, highlighted projects, and your organization profile if you haven’t created it yet.

How do I change a page?

Login to Volunteer Global, and then select “My Account.” Click “Track,” which will show you all content you’ve created as well as links to edit that content.

Alternatively, if you know the URL of the page you’d like to edit, just type that in or navigate to that page through links on Volunteer Global. An “Edit” button will appear at the top of the screen for any content you’ve created.

How do I delete my account?

If you wish to close your account, navigate to your account settings and follow the directions to delete. Please note: any content you've created on Volunteer Global will be purged when your account is deactivated.

May I have a refund?

Yes, you may receive a full refund as long as you’ve registered your account within the past 30 days and you have the receipt sent to you by Volunteer Global when your payment was completed.

If you are outside the 30-day window, OR if you are within the 30-day window but do not have a copy of the receipt sent to you by Volunteer Global when your payment was completed, we cannot issue a refund.
